Some of the chess in Buenos Aires is kept for a defined group. ATSA Buenos Aires, the health workers' union, runs classes, a pairs blitz and team tournaments for its members and their families, and the Universidad de Palermo offers chess classes with a coach to its students, online on Tuesdays and in person on Fridays during the second term of 2026.
The chess school of Chacarita Juniors, held in the football club's stadium, admits members only, and the Círculo de Ajedrez de Berazategui marked the anniversary of the institution in August 2026 with an event and a tournament. A place on this page may still open some events to outside players; the entry says so whenever a page does.
