Contents of a note
A note carries what you typed into the form: your name, any contact you gave, and the message itself (the place, the change, the page that proves it and your connection to the place), plus the address and language of the page it was sent from. A hidden field that visitors cannot see exists to stop automated spam.
Use of notes
A form service stores the notes until the guide is next revised, when they are read as a batch. They are used for checking and applying corrections and for nothing else; an answer goes out only if a note requests one and includes a contact. No name or contact is ever published, sold or passed to the club, venue or organiser concerned, and a correction on the site describes what changed, not who reported it.
Visit counts
A short script, served from this site's own domain, counts page views without cookies and without tracking anyone from site to site. Each view records the page, the referring page, and the browser, kind of device and country inferred from the request; only totals are ever looked at.
No outside code
There is no advertising, social media or third-party tracking code on these pages, and fonts, map tiles and images are not fetched from elsewhere. Links to sources or maps lead to other websites, whose privacy rules apply there. The hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses only to the extent needed to deliver the pages.
Deleting or correcting a note
Write through the form again, using the same name and contact, and say what should happen to the note you sent; it is deleted or corrected in the form service at the next reading. Confirmation is sent only on request and to a contact you leave. Residents of Argentina can also contact the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP), which oversees personal data protection.
